BrainKeeper by Curiositas Studio. Last updated: 2 October 2026.
Who we are
BrainKeeper is a product of Curiositas Studio (Italy and Malta). Contact: hi@curiositas.studio.
What BrainKeeper is
BrainKeeper is a knowledge system that runs on the user's own computer, as files in a folder the user owns. It can connect to services the user chooses, such as Google, so that the user's own tools can read and organise the user's own data. Curiositas Studio does not run a server that receives that data.
Google user data we access
Only after the user signs in with Google and approves the request, BrainKeeper asks for these permissions:
- Gmail, read messages and settings (
gmail.readonly): to let the user search and read their own email. - Gmail, manage drafts (
gmail.compose): to create reply drafts. BrainKeeper does not send email; the user reviews and sends each draft. - YouTube, read channel data (
youtube.readonly) and analytics (yt-analytics.readonly): to let the user study their own channel.
How we use, store and share it
- The data is used only to provide the features the user asks for inside BrainKeeper.
- The data and the access token are stored on the user's own computer. Curiositas Studio does not receive, store or have access to them.
- We do not sell the data, do not share it with third parties, do not use it for advertising or credit decisions, and do not use it to train AI models.
- If the user asks an AI assistant of their choice to work on their data, that assistant processes it under its own provider's terms. That is the user's choice and happens outside Curiositas Studio.
Limited Use
BrainKeeper's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Retention, revocation and deletion
The data stays on the user's computer until the user deletes it. The user can withdraw access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and can delete the stored token and any downloaded data by removing the files from their own folder.
Changes
If BrainKeeper starts requesting new Google permissions, this page is updated before they go live.
